Getting Started with PMM
PMM internships integrate your classroom learning with practical experience in a teaching setting for ministry. Placement in an approved teaching setting (e.g., church, agency, campus ministry, hospital, retirement community, social justice ministry, etc.) should provide experience in a broad range of ministerial learning activities.
In all instances, learning partners from the PMM site will help seminarians develop learning goals, engage together in regular theological reflection, and participate in an evaluation of the seminarian’s learning.
M.Div. seminarians are required to complete 4 credit hours of PMM. The pre-requisite to begin the PMM requirement is 24 credit hours that include Spiritual Formation - MM101 and MM102.
Seminarians may use any combination of a full-time summer internship and a part-time year-long internship to satisfy this requirement. Here are your options (Please note that seminarians will not be placed at their home church unless they are employed there.):
