Wesley Student Council

Wesley's Student Council seeks to promote the common welfare of the student body. We act as the voice of the student body through providing an open forum in which concerns can be raised. We also sponsor various student organizations and work with the administration, faculty, staff and community as a whole to ensure a supportive academic climate.

ASAH

ASAH is a student-led group that is open to students, faculty, and staff who wish to explore the nexus between the arts, theology, and ministry within the Wesley community. ASAH seeks to provide the Wesley community opportunities for involvement in arts programming, community-based service projects, and social events.
Association of Black
Seminarians

Advisor: Dean Asa Lee

Promotes cultural awareness, integrity and a historical perspective of the African-American and African cultures for the WTS community, and also promotes community cohesiveness by way of academic, political, social, and worship activities.
Gente Latinx
Seminarians Association

Advisor: Dean Philip Wingeier-Rayo

GLSA serves to serve as a Latinx public witness through the promotion of public service and cultural awareness of the Latinx community. For more information please email GenteLatinxSA@gmail.com.
Korean Student
Association

KSA seeks to foster a second home for international Korean students and a wider understanding of Korean culture, language, and issues facing ethnic subgroups within the Wesley community.

An organization committed to advocating for and expressing the sacred worth of the LGBTQ community.
Plumbline

Advisor: Dr. Beverly Mitchell

An interfaith social justice organization dedicated to service, education, and advocacy that seeks transformative change -- for its seminarian members, for our communities, and for the world.
Washington Theological Consortium SC Reps: TBD The Washington Theological Consortium is a community of theological schools and partners from diverse traditions that pursue ecumenical dialogue, interfaith understanding, and educational collaboration to better equip clergy and laity for ministry.
Wesley Fellowship Advisor: Dean Asa Lee Committed to fostering, enhancing, and creating space for fellowship, service and hospitality within the Wesley community with events that are open to any member of the Wesley community.

All student organizations are required to attend the bi-weekly Student Council meetings. Therefore, if you are looking to connect with one of these organizations Student Council meetings are a great place to start!

Wesley Journal Expand
The Wesley Journal is a publication of the Wesley Theological Seminary Student Council. Students, faculty and staff are welcome to contribute articles, poems, devotions, etc.

In collaboration with student council, the community life office, communications and resident life Revised Wesley Ad Guideline was created to help streamline event everyone spread the word about important events, meetings, or gatherings. 

Please remember the best way to start, after deciding on an event is to check your proposed dates with the master student calendar to check for possible conflicts and collaboration opportunities.
