The imperative to remember and lament the brokenness of our pasts—to move from silence to words and to work through our individual and collective traumas toward wholeness—so that we might live more fully in the present and work toward a more just and equitable future is apparent. It is not, however, adequately studied or acted on.
The imperative has become even more apparent and urgent, due to the worldwide pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2, which has killed more than half a million in the United States alone.
It is in response to this imperative that we propose a DMin track focused on “Trauma, Moral Injury, and Christian Faith.” The church must learn the reality of trauma and its effects and respond with wisdom and knowledge and with love and compassion. We aim to equip our pastors so to do.

Program Notes: In addition, students must take two elective courses for a total of 30 credit hours.
