Arts and Theology

When artists create works of art, they also generate and sustain communities.  A study of religion and the arts is not only incomplete without the awareness of this reality, it misses a profound and engaging opportunity for ministry is a diverse and changing world.  In this Doctor of Ministry track, we will explore and analyze the role of the arts in community formation from multiple disciplinary and methodological perspectives, including: Biblical studies, theological aesthetics, the sociology of religion, and visual, material and sensory studies.
