The Love of a Last Breath
~ Luke 23:44–46

W

hat does it look like to love to your last breath? What does it look like to love through your last breath? Christians have come to understand the day that Jesus took his last breath as an ultimate showing of love, and it was. But it is also something we did not expect, something we could never imagine now, and something that we, most likely would never choose to give… our last breath for someone in the crowd.

Breathe in with me.
Feel your lungs fill.  Feel the breath of God enter your body.
Exhale.
Release that which keeps you from loving. Release the expectation of love.
Inhale.
Breathe in the call to love… with all that you are.
