Rev. Cornelius Berry received earned a Bachelor of the Arts in Bible and Theology from American Baptist College in Nashville, TN. He was born and raised in Racine, WI but calls Nashville home. Rev. Berry is the Senior Pastor of New Beginnings UMC in Ridgely, MD. His favorite hobby is binge- watching Netflix (The Blacklist, Quantico, and Chicago PD/Fire) or practicing becoming a Master Chef in his own right. Corey started taking college classes in the 3rd grade at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI as part of a Youth Leadership Academy that started students out in the 3rd grade. He enjoys good comedy and used to be a Police Explorer. Corey stated that “at one time in my life, I dreamed of nothing else but being a Police officer.” Rev. Berry envisions the future church as a place where ALL people can come and worship Christ and be accepted; a place where the church is no longer in a community but rather a part of the community; and a place where the least, lost and left out finally win.
