Admissions at Wesley Theological Seminary
Your Calling Deserves a Place to Grow
At Wesley Theological Seminary (Wesley DC), we prepare you to become transformative leaders for the church and the world. Here, your call meets community at a diverse, faith-filled environment in the heart of Washington, DC, where theological reflection meets public engagement and spiritual formation deepens every aspect of your learning.
Discover Your Path
Every student’s calling is unique — and so are our degree options. Wesley’s master’s programs are designed to help you grow intellectually, spiritually, and practically, wherever your ministry leads.
Our Master’s Programs:
- Master of Divinity (MDiv): Comprehensive preparation for pastoral ministry, chaplaincy, and leadership in faith communities.
- Master of Arts (MA): Flexible, focused programs for those seeking theological depth in fields such as the arts, justice, and social transformation.
- Master of Theological Studies (MTS):
An academic, research-focused degree for those seeking deeper understanding of theology, scripture, and the church’s witness in the world — ideal for students preparing for doctoral study or teaching. - Dual Degrees: In partnership with American University, explore the intersections of theology and policy, peace-building, or international service.
Whether you’re discerning your call or ready to take the next step, Wesley DC provides the guidance, resources, and relationships to help you thrive!
While Wesley’s approach to public theology is distinctly Christian, the Center for Public Theology operates in an environment that is both passionately Christian and compassionately interfaith.
