Rev. F. Douglas Powe, Jr.,Ph.D.

Rev. Dr. F. Douglas Powe, Jr., is a key advisor and partner to The Source Collaborative. He is the Director of the Lewis Center for Church Leadership and James C. Logan Professor of Evangelism (E. Coaches

Denominational leaders, alumni networks, and the Source Collaborative design team are selecting high-potential clergy who are interested in being trained as coaches. They will join the design team for monthly check-ins as they work with individual congregations in their assessments, planning, and implementation.

Seminarians

Select seminarians will join the program as research associates. They will help facilitate gatherings and retreats, design and implement surveys and interviews, and compile data and insights to inform new resource creation.

David Shank and Rev. Laura Norvell are Wesley alumni and development staff. Together, they will work with the design team to identify potential congregational participants, share news and resources with alumni, and identify potential coaches.

Also serving on the design team are Rev. Dr. Cathy Abbott, former Virginia UMC District Superintendent, and Rev. Dr. Stacey Cole Wilson, Executive Minister of Justice and Service for the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the UMC. Both pastors have extensive experience leading local congregations and working with clergy and laity. They will continue to help guide program design, select participants, and discern valuable learnings for further development.
