Applications for FASPE (Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics) Seminary program are now open!
The deadline to apply is January 6, 2021, and the 2021 program will take place from June 11, 2021 to June 25, 2021.
FASPE is a two-week intensive program on professional ethics and ethical leadership for young professionals and graduate students in medicine, law, business, journalism and seminary. The program studies professional ethics by examining the role of professionals in Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. We focus on the perpetrators to display the power and role of professionals, to ask the basic questions of how and why professionals abandon their ethical guideposts, and to create a compelling context for the study of contemporary ethical issues. The program is planned to take place in Germany and Poland, including a visit to Auschwitz, and is taught by leading practitioners and scholars in each discipline. (In the event that health considerations prohibit international travel next year, the location of the program may be subject to change.)
