Summer 2023 - Online Health Minister Certificate

Dates: Online Orientation April 23, 2023 – April 29, 2023
            Weekly modules April 30, 2023 – July 8, 2023

Learning Format:

  • 10 weekly online learning modules
  • Each module is 1.5 hours-2.5 hours (22 contact hours)
  • All modules must be completed for certificate completion.
  • Certificate content includes readings, videos, discussion, assignments, and other interactive learning methods.
  • Webinars offered for enhanced learning
  • Certificate hours are not transferable to any Wesley Theological Seminary graduate degree.

Tuition Cost:

  • $500 per person
  • $25 non-refundable registration fee (must be submitted with registration form)

(scholarships are available, including one for United Methodists made possible from a grant from the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church and AU Faithfully Fit Partnership)

Health Minister Certificate Registration Form - Summer 2023

The Health Minister Certificate is an introductory education course in whole person health presented by the Heal the Sick, a program of the Community Engagement Institute. All 10 modules must be completed for certificate completion. Certificate hours are not transferable to any Wesley Theological Seminary graduate degree.   • CONTACT INFORMATION AND PERSONAL HEALTH MINISTRY STATEMENT RELEASE - The General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church (GBGM) is an educational partner of Wesley Theological Seminary. With GBGM's scholarship support for the certificate, GBGM is working to promote a culture of health in congregations and communities. GBGM would like to raise awareness about health ministry and share stories about health ministry in various media outlets. As part of these efforts, GBGM would like permission to contact you and possibly share your story. If you accept a certificate scholarship from General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, Wesley will share with GBGM your contact information (name, e-mail, church, and phone) and health ministry personal statement. Please indicate below if you agree to share your contact information and personal health ministry statement with GBGM.
  • Cancellations must be received in writing to tpruski@wesleyseminary.edu by April 23rd, 2023. Students cancelling after April 23rd, 2023 through the first day of class (April 30, 2023) will also be charged a $100.00 cancellation fee. Refunds will not be honored once the first class takes place. Note: Certificate credits are not transferable to any Wesley Theological Seminary graduate degree programs.
