Kay Spiritual Center at American University

The Kay Spiritual Life Center has been an integral part of the American University campus since its dedication in 1965 and has served as a place where the entire community could, regardless of faith, gather for worship, fellowship, meditation, prayer and the exchange of ideas. Kaye Spiritual Center hosts many events throughout the year for the seminary and is also gracious to invite seminarians and staff to their full docket of activities.

Metropolitan Memorial United Methodist Church

Originally erected to be the representational presence of the United Methodist Church in the nation's captial, MMUMC is directly adjacent to American University's campus and often plays host to seminary related events.

Katzen Arts Center at American University

The Katzen Arts Center brings all the visual and performing arts programs at AU into one 130,000 square foot space. Designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration in the arts, the new center provides state-of-the-art instructional, exhibition, and performance space for all the arts disciplines.  The Katzen Arts Center is often employed as a venue for the Luce Center's discussions in Religion and the Arts.

Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church

Our partner at our Mt. Vernon Place location. What was a dwindling congregation a few years ago, who stepped out on a leap of faith to sell part of their building and enter a relationship with the Seminary, is now a growing, vibrant, and diverse community.

Asbury United Methodist Church

Just around the corner from Mount Vernon Place UMC and our location at Mount Vernon Square, Asbury's mission is to invite, receive, teach and send people into the world to make disciples and to be the church, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Calvary Baptist Church

Just blocks away from our Mount Vernon Square location, Calvary is continuously engaged in creating meaningful worship and music, fostering relationships within the community, and reaching out to the city.

Intentional Community at Birch Hall

A group of Wesley students who live at our Mount Vernon Square location. Their mission is to learn to build authentic relationships with God, each other, and the DC community by living together in faith.

Downtown Cluster of Congregations

A group of 45 churches, the Downtown Cluster is a non-profit, ecumenical association founded in 1972 for the purpose of cooperatively meeting pressing human service needs in the District of Columbia.

Martha's Table

Martha's Table is a non-profit, not too far from our Mount Vernon Square location who works with Wesley's urban fellows and other student and faculty groups. Their mission is to help at-risk children, youth, families and individuals in our community improve their lives by providing educational programs, food, clothing, and enrichment opportunities.
