Reverend Robin Joynes (MTS 2008) attended a worship service at Mother Emmanuel AME Church, Charleston, SC on Sunday August 21, 2016. “The experience was a sacred pilgrimage…We all must make time and be still in the sacred, for nothing can separate us from our God. Not death, nor powers, nor principalities. The bright light will always shine and Mother Emanuel is looking up,”

Mrs. Nancy Guttendorf (MA 2016 ) will begin working as a full-time staff chaplain at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD in mid-September 2016.

Dr. Robbie Mills (D. Min. 2011) is now serving Jesus and refugees in the Middle East. He was commissioned in February 2016 and completed all the requirements to move to the field on August 2, 2016. “I am grateful for your prayers during this transitional period.”

Dr. William Alberts (M.Div. 1954) has published “The Counterpunching Minister (who couldn’t be “preyed” away)”. The book is a collection of 64 of Dr. Albert’s articles published by Counterpunch. The articles deal with social justice issues and call religious leaders to regain their prophetic role of confronting political power and wealth with morality and moral truth. The book is available on Amazon.
