Happy Wednesday,
We are so delighted by the response we got to our last email! We are so grateful to have such an amazing community here at Wesley that we can pray for one another and with each other remotely and through channels like this.
It's hard to be away from campus at this time of year, with the Cherry Blossoms in full bloom. And if you've been to Wesley's campus before, you'll remember that our campus is filled with cherry blossoms.
For a brief moment, I remove my gaze from the tragedy that is COVID-19, and am reminded of God's glory in creation and in this I see that the cherry blossoms are synonymous with hope for me. I'm a gardener, and this is the time of year when I take a package of dead-looking microscopic things, sprinkle them into cold, damp earth and then, miraculously, they grow into beautiful flowers and vegetables that attract birds and butterflies. This is the boundless hope that we have in God, our creator. No matter the spaces we are sheltered in, we will grow; we will endure; and we can still be a source of hope for those around us.
Grace & Peace to all of you in these trying times,
Elizabeth
This week, we reflect on the timely message delivered by Wesley's Associate Professor of Preaching, Dr. Veronice Miles: Hope for Such a Time as This

As all are coping with the new realities that have come with a global pandemic, Wesley graduates are working to find ways to be in connection with their congregations or conduct other ministry activities in this period of social distancing. We will speak with a number of Wesley graduates as they find their way to minister in the time of COVID-19. {More Here}
