RELIGIOUS FREEDOM CENTER
WEEK-LONG INTENSIVES
Learn How to Educate and Empower Your Community
WHO WE ARE: The Religious Freedom Center of the Freedom Forum Institute is committed to promoting dialogue and understanding among people of all religions and none. Unfortunately, many citizens receive little or no civic education about the religious liberty clauses of the First Amendment, with the result that they are misled about the constitutional role of religion in public life, confused about the meaning of church-state separation and uncertain about the limits of the free exercise of religion.
WHAT WE OFFER: To address this gap in understanding, we offer graduate level week-long intensive courses giving religious and civic leaders the opportunity to learn about the role of religion in public life. These courses will empower people of diverse faiths — and none — with knowledge and skills in the areas of religious liberty, religious literacy and civil dialogue.
HOW IT WORKS: Our blended learning curriculum is designed to meet adult learners both on campus and online. Students will engage with their course instructor, classmates and national experts for a three-day on-site intensive at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.
~Wesley students must apply first to the Religious Freedom Center then register for the course through Wesley Web. Email Admissions@wesleyseminary.edu for more information.
