Wesley Theological Seminary is pleased to announce that Nick Works will serve as the new Director of Recruitment at the seminary.

Works graduated from Williams Baptist College with a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries, and went on to receive a Master’s of Theology degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing a Master’s of Divinity degree here at Wesley, and anticipates graduating in 2013.

“People should know that I love God, strive (sometimes successfully) to love my neighbor, love my family and love being a part of the Wesley community,” Nick said.

Nick has extensive experience as a pastor, and has specialized in working with children, students and families. “As a Youth Pastor, I was responsible for fostering a community of hospitality that always welcomed new students and visitors. I truly hope that those fifteen years in ministry will help me to continue to strive to be ever more welcoming and hospitable to new and prospective students,” he said. He recently served as Pastor of Children, Youth and Families at Grace United Methodist Church in Gaithersburg, MD.

“Four years ago when I became a member of the Wesley community, I was struck by the fantastic group of people here. I instantly fell in love with Wesley, commenting to Carla, my wife, that hopefully we had found a home for life,” Nick said. “In my role as Director of Recruitment, I hope that I can communicate how much I love this community and encourage all our prospective students that this is the kind of community where they will be glad to have begun their theological journey.”
