Wesley Faculty Member Dr. F. Douglas Powe Jr. Named Keynote Speaker for the 2013 Wesleyan Leadership Conference

​Dr. F. Douglas Powe Jr. will give the keynote speech at the Wesleyan Leadership Conference October 17-19, 2013 at General Board of Discipleship in Nashville, Tenn. Powe is the James C. Logan Professor of Evangelism and Urban Ministry and associate director of the Center for the Missional Church at Wesley Theological Seminary. This event is a part of a leadership development effort of The United Methodist Church targeting congregation members. The theme of this fourth annual event is Witness to Jesus Christ: Wesleyan Evangelism Where You Are.  
Powe’s work in Wesley’s Urban Ministry program is based at Wesley at Mount Vernon Square in downtown Washington.

The Wesleyan Leadership Conference is open to all United Methodist lay and clergy leaders. The event qualifies for 1.3 CEUs. The General Board of Discipleship is an agency of The United Methodist Church.
