Beginning Fall 2013, Wesley Theological Seminary will offer housing in four residence halls located at two different addresses in Washington, DC. Read more below about each of the four on-campus options.
Birch Residence Hall Intentional Community (MVS) is located at 908 Massachusetts Ave, NW in the office building next to Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church (900 Massachusetts Ave NW). The Residence Hall is located on the third level of the building and is accessible only via keycard entry. Residents will access the space via the atrium entrance facing Massachusetts Avenue and the stairwell. Special arrangements may be made for residents to utilize the elevator if they are unable to utilize the stairs or during move-in or move-out. MVS offers up to 18 beds, configured in the following ways: one efficiency apartment, two one-bedroom apartments, double or single dormitory rooms. Dormitory rooms are configured in 'triplets' which consist of one double occupancy dormitory room connected through the restroom to one single occupancy dormitory room. Apartment units offer private bathrooms (shower stall, sink, toilet) and kitchens (refrigerator with freezer, sink, garbage disposal, four-coil electric cooking range and microwave). Additionally, there is a large community lounge, kitchen area, study room and laundry room available for student use.

Students are permitted to bring additional furniture to supplement what is provided, but we are unable to store additional furniture. Please also note that furniture may not be removed from the unit.
Furniture provided in an efficiency apartment includes table and chair, night table, bed (either a double or twin size is provided), student desk and chair, arm chair, dresser, and some units also contain a china hutch. Air conditioners are provided in and installed in the wall next to or beneath the window. All furniture may be rearranged to suit the student's comfort within the room.
