The Making Connection Urban Ministry Task Force will build the strengths and interests of Wesley Theological Seminary and the partner conferences in a shared praxis grounded in the theology of "John Wesley and the poor." This will require an examination of our present actions and activities and a critical reflection upon the contexts and culture of those actions. As a shared praxis, the leadership on this task force will require the ability to reach across the boundries of these institutions to effect transformation of their relevant communities so that together we can claim who we are and who we want to be.
The culmination event for the task force will be an Urban Ministry Convocation in the fall of 2009.
