Library

Wesley's library staff is dedicated to active collection development and user-oriented services. On average, 225 new volumes are added to the collection each month, in addition to approximately 540 ongoing journal subscriptions.

The library's computer system provides access to the catalog of the collections, to other databases and to catalogs of local libraries. The library is recognized for the excellence of its collections and for its response to the information needs of students, faculty, clergy and other researchers.

Books may be borrowed from the libraries of the Washington Theological Consortium (1.5 million volumes) and American University (750,000 volumes). The metropolitan area is home to nearly a thousand libraries, many of which are open to graduate students. The rich resources of the Library of Congress-easily accessed by public transportation-are also available to students.
