IMPORTANT DATES FOR SPRING/J-TERM 2011 REGISTRATION
|
|
October 24 – November 4, 2011
Limited Enrollment Pre-registration
During this period, students may register for most spring courses using WesleyWeb. However, courses with a limited enrollment designation in the printed schedule will be listed on WesleyWeb as either "Waitlisted" or "Closed." This does not mean that the course is already full, but rather that no students are allowed to directly add the course. The Registrar's Office will manually add students to the course after the Limited Enrollment period ends on November 4. All students wishing to be considered for Limited Enrollment courses must add themselves to the waitlist for that course during this two-week period. Your limited enrollment courses will then show up as Waitlisted on the "Manage My Completed Registrations and Waitlist" page (the fourth link below the "Registration" heading on WesleyWeb). Limited Enrollment pre-registration will end at 1:00 PM on November 4. Your status in the course can be confirmed by 5:00 PM and will then show up as a Completed Registration. (More information on how Limited Enrollment registration priority works is available here.)

WesleyWeb Registration
All degree students are requested to register during this four-week window to help Wesley's faculty and staff with classroom preparation and course planning.

J-Term Registration Deadline: December 19
All J-Term course adds or drops must be completed via WesleyWeb no later than December 19. Wesley offices will be closed from December 23 until the first day of the J-Term on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Any course dropped after December 19 will incur a $100 cancellation fee.

|
November 19 – February 3, 2012
WesleyWeb Late Registration and Registration Changes
During this period, all Spring semester courses may be added or dropped via WesleyWeb with no penalty. The exception is online or hybrid courses, which have a registration deadline of January 11, 2012.
|
|
|
After February 3
Any changes in registration must be made in writing on a Registration Form. Non-attendance does not constitute a course drop. Professors take attendance and the Registrar's Office makes every effort to contact non-attending students. Students who fail to attend a course will owe tuition for the dates that their registration was active per the drop schedule printed in the Catalog.

HOLDS AND WARNINGS
The following circumstances will result in a hold on your account that will prohibit you from registering:
-
If you have an outstanding balance on your student account in the Business Office.
-
If you entered in Spring 2011 or earlier and have not submitted a Degree Plan Worksheet signed by your advisor.
-
If you have not completed the online health insurance waiver required by the Office of Community Life.
-
If you have an Academic or Administrative Hold placed by the Dean's Office.
You may check your holds and warnings on WesleyWeb prior to the beginning of the registration period to make sure that you are clear for registration.
LIMITED ENROLLMENT PRE-REGISTRATION
Certain courses in the Course Schedule are designated by the faculty as Limited Enrollment. Limited Enrollment Pre-registration is a two-week period for students to request the limited enrollment courses for which they wish to register. The student may request limited enrollment courses by adding themselves to the waitlist for these courses. At the end of the two-week period, students will be sorted according to the number of credits they have remaining in their degree program. Priority is given to those who are closer to graduation. If the course fills, students are placed on the waitlist for the course in the same priority order. Any registrations for Limited Enrollment courses received after this period will be added to the end of the waitlist on a "first-come" basis, or registered directly into the course if there are seats available.
CONSORTIUM COURSES
Courses offered through the Washington Theological Consortium will be listed at http://www.washtheocon.org/. To register for a Consortium course, logon to WesleyWeb and click on the Consortium Registration link on the Welcome page (the second link below the "Registration" heading). Scroll down, complete all of the information and submit the form. Remember: there is a confirmation page, so you must click "Submit" twice. Your registration will be processed by the Registrar's Office and you will receive an email copy of the form that Wesley's Registrar's Office sends to the host Consortium school. This process may take up to two working days.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT JANUARY CROSS REGISTRATION: Though Wesley Theological Seminary participates in the J-Term cross-registration with fellow WTC institutions, not every WTC institution reciprocates.
To drop a Consortium course, complete the on-line Consortium registration form again and select the "drop" option.
NOTE: Forms on the Consortium website ARE NOT for registration. You must complete the form on WesleyWeb to register for a Consortium course.
DIRECTED STUDY
Directed Study proposals should be submitted to the Dean's Office on a Directed Study Application form during the registration period. Your plan of study must be developed in consultation with a faculty member who then must sign the form before submission. The Directed Study will be added to your registration once the approved application is received by the Dean's Office.
