Faculty at Wesley (including regular, permanent adjunct, visiting, temporary faculty, and emeriti) receive generous borrowing privileges to assist them in their research and teaching. As part of our cooperative relationship with other seminaries and institutions of higher education, Wesley faculty are also eligible for borrowing privileges at numerous other institutions.
Books are loaned for an entire term and audio-visual materials for 14 days. Items may be renewed three times before they have to be returned to the Library. Renewed items are subject to recall. Books may be renewed by email (library@wesleyseminary.edu) or by telephone (202-885-8695).
The Library invites you to submit your Course Reserve Lists so that we may place on Reserve items which you would like your students access during the term. We encourage you to submit Reserve Lists before the start of each academic term, as it makes the textbooks for your course available to all students. When items are not placed on reserve, we frequently find that items are checked out and held by one student, making the items unavailable to others in your classes. To place items on reserve, contact the Circulation Supervisor and request a copy of the Reserve Collection Request form. The Library will place on reserve any materials (required, recommended, and/or suggested) that you would like. If you request an item that is not part of the Library’s collection,
If you have any questions or concerns about the reserve process, please do not hesitate to contact the Circulation Supervisor.
