Artists-in-Residence:

bullet

Stay either one academic year (approximately September 1 to May 15), one semester, or a six-week concentrated period (a minimum of 15 hours a week);

bullet

Work with and guide 1 to 6 students for 1 credit hour, four times per semester. If more than 6 students apply for instruction, a class will be formed, and the students will meet six times per semester for 1 credit hour;

bullet

Participate in Wesley’s artistic community through support, instruction, and/or critique of other resident artists, student’s staff, or faculty work.

bullet

Participate in community outreach to churches if invited;

bullet

Visual artists participate in a group exhibition in the Dadian Gallery; performing artists participate in a chapel service or scheduled performance; literary artists give a reading of their work.

bullet

Visual artists donate one piece of work to the Luce Center for the Arts and Religion that will be a permanent piece of the art collection at Wesley Theological Seminary; performing artists donate a video/audio tape of chapel participation or performance; literary artists donate a copy of their work.

Robert Peppers, Kim Jackson, and Karen Schiff.
