How do I get a key to the computer lab? This key is also known as a 600 key and it accesses the front door of Straughn hall and the computer lab. Keys are available in the Office of Community Life and Housing (Trott-105). Stop by during normal office hours and bring a picture ID (preferably your Wesley ID) in order to sign out a key. You can keep your key for the duration of your status as a student, but you will need to return it upon graduation or leaving the seminary. There is a $5 replacement charge for keys not returned.
How can I get a gate key to American University? Students who need to access the AU shuttle bus or other campus locations at American University can stop by the Office of Housing to pick up a gate key. There is a $5 deposit for gate keys. Please bring exact change. Gate keys must be returned upon graduation or leaving the seminary and the deposit will be returned. The gate is located at the east end of Carroll Hall behind Leonard Hall.
How do I get something fixed in my dorm room or apartment?If you have a repair that you need to report to our maintenance staff for your dorm room or campus apartment, please contact the office of Housing at x8612 or email@example.com. If you have an emergency during office house please call the office as early in the day as possible. The maintenance staff hours are 7:30 - 3:30, so please call in repairs early in the day. If you have not received assistance with your emergency within two hours, please try back again. If your emergency (involving water leaks, fires, or other serious problems) occurs after the office is closed, please contact the resident manager on duty. You can do this by calling them at their room or calling the RM Cellular at (202) 246-8251. If there is no answer, please leave a detailed message. Resident Managers usually respond to phone calls within five minutes and they are required to be within thirty minutes of campus. Once they respond they will be able to advise you of what best to do.

If you notice a fire within the building and are able to safely extinguish the fire with the fire extinguisher, please do so. If not, please pull the fire alarm, evacuate the building, and make sure that 911 has been called.
How can I reach the Resident Manager on Duty and how can they help me?
If you find you are locked out of your room after office hours, please contact the Resident Manager on duty so that they can let you in. If you find you are locked out during office hours come to the office of housing in Trott-105 in order to sign out a set of loaner keys. Resident Managers can be reached by calling the RM Cellular at (202) 246-8251. Please realize that resident managers are also full-time students and are usually involved in church related activities. If you can, please refrain from seeking their assistance on Sunday mornings from 8:30 - 12:30 as it would be greatly appreciated. If you have an emergency however please do call them. We just ask that you be considerate of the competing demands on their time. The resident managers can not make arrangements for guest housing; that needs to be done during office hours at the Housing Office and should occur at least two weeks in advance of a stay.
