Because of our central location in Washington, DC, Wesley is a great commuter campus for students with permanent residences off-campus. And, although Wesley does offer a variety of on-campus housing options for students, some of our students choose to live in the greater Washington, DC area in an effort to stay near churches where they work or experience other neighborhoods in DC. Wesley does not make any recommendations in terms of off-campus housing, but occasionally we can assist students seeking off-campus housing by referrals to a realtor.
Occassionally, neighbors of Wesley will also contact the seminary with rooms or basement apartments in their homes that they are renting to responsible tenants. Wesley keeps these off-campus housing advertisements in the Office of Housing.
If you are a neighbor or local resident and you would like to list an off-campus housing advertisement to Wesley students, please contact the Office of Housing.
For students searching for local off-campus housing options, Wesley recommends starting with American University's Off-Campus Housing page, followed by their Off-Campus Postings page.
