The University Senate of the United Methodist Church announces a new partnership among Pfeiffer University, Wesley Theological Seminary and Union Presbyterian Seminary that will make it possible starting in Fall 2012 for United Methodist (UM) students to complete their master of divinity degree with Union Presbyterian Seminary.

At Commencement each year, the Society of John Wesley Award of Merit is given to Wesley graduates who exemplify a high standard of commitment and devotion to God, to the church and to Wesley Theological Seminary. Through sacrificial leadership in ministry, these persons exemplify a high standard of involvement in the ministry and mission of the church and in the life of the Wesley community. Nominations are now open for 2012.

Graduate education at Wesley retains the traditional requirements of Bible, Christian history, and theology courses, but Wesley also seeks to creatively equip today’s technologically-adept and service-oriented students who are called to change the world.
