Below are the rates for the 2013 July Intensive term for your reference. Your will be billed accordly for the housing and/or meals arrangements that Wesley is able to locate you in. Bills and Housing letters should go out the first part of June.

Howes Scholarship

Students who enroll in the Course of Study at Wesley Seminary also participate in fund raising for the Ellis L. Larsen scholarship fund. This fund assists students who are finding it difficult to meet their financial obligation for attending Wesley. Scholarships are granted based on need and are vetted by a panel of students and administration. Students may submit one application per summer.

Larsen Scholarship forms will be available from the COS odffice once you arrive on campus. Scholarship awards will be determined during the Summer intensive term.

Other Sources of Funding

Many of the local churches that our students serve also provide funds to assist the local pastor to attend school. Other students have received funds from organizations such as the Daughters of the American Revolution and others. Students are encouraged to seek funds from multiple sources, if needed, to help them pay for the instruction they receive.

Finances

Basic Course of Study - Summer Session

Registration fee $35.00 per course due with your registration form (Deadline April 1)

Currently there is no tuition charge to attend Basic Course of Study during the summer term in July. Students receive a scholarship through the GBHEM and MEF funds paid directly to the school. Students are responsible for the cost of their room and board while attending Course of Study.

New Policy Regarding Conference Scholarship

Beginning with Summer 2011, students will be responsible for 100% of their room and board costs while at Wesley. Conferences will pay conference scholarships directly to the student. Check with your conference to see what the process is in your annual conference.

Weekend Course of Study

Tuition for Weekend Course of Study is $350.00 per course. The registration fee is $75.00 per course due with your registration form. (Rolling registration deadlines) Housing and meals are on your own. Wesley has secured a room block at a nearby hotel that student may use. Information regarding obtaining a room in the room block will be sent with your registration confirmation.

Housing

NEW Housing Policy: We will make every attempt to fulfill your housing requests (type of room - single/double - and room-mate if applicable), however, it is impossible for us to guarantee that you will receive what you request. Requests for single rooms are processed on first come first served basis, the order in which the registration forms are received, and as long as we have space. Students needing special arrangements due to health issues (ie, heart ailments, bad knees or students who may need the assistance of crutches or scooters) should include a doctors note with their registration materials so that we can place them accordingly.

Wesley is no longer asking students to indicate a housing location of their housing application. We will make the determination where a student will stay according to need and order in the in which the registration form was received when we process the housing forms in the spring.
