Denise Dombkowski Hopkins

A native of upstate New York, Denise Dombkowski Hopkins is a member of the UCC church.  She has twice studied at the Ecumenical Instutute for Theological Studies in the West Bank and has received two research awards: the Yale Theological Renewal Award (2006-2007) and the ATS Research Grant (2007-2008).  Her academic interests include Psalms and Second Temple Judaism.  Denise is collaborating with Michael Koppel in writing a book on the Hebrew Bible and Pastoral Care Practices.  She is a long-time PTA activist, gardener, golfer, bicyclist and ballet lover with two children, Brian and Ariel.
