Summer Term 2012

Wesley has now sub-divided our summer program into two terms; Summer Term 1 running from May 21 - June 30, 2012 and Summer Term 2 running from July 1 - August 3, 2012.  Please note that if you are a current student looking up courses in My Wesley you must first choose either Summer Term 1 or Summer Term 2 to see your courses.  The tuition rates will change at the end of Summer Term 1 - please see the rate tables below.

Pre-course advance assignments and reading are required for many summer term courses. Pre-courses assignments are available by either clicking  "Courses" to the right or by going to Blackboard.  If you don't have a Blackboard ID, please contact the Blackboard Support. Courses are taught in both face to face and on-line formats.  Please check the course descriptions for more information.

Registration processing begins on April 2, 2012. Students currently enrolled at Wesley Theological Seminary must register for Summer Term using WesleyWeb. New students are asked to complete the 2012 summer registration form, attach any necessary documentation/applicable fees and mail the materials to:

Credit Type Change Policy

• For a 1 week class - students have until the end of the first day of class to change registration type (P/F or Credit)
• For a 2 week class - students have until the end of the second day of class to change registration type (P/F or Credit)
• For the 6 week class - students have until the end of the first week to change registration type (P/F or Credit)

Cancelation and Refund Policy

Cancelations must be received in writing by the registration deadline to receive a full refund of tuition charges. Students canceling after the registration deadline through the first day of class will be charged a $100.00 cancelation fee. Cancelation following the first day of class will be charged the full tuition and payment is expected. Students who need to cancel their registration should download the Drop Form and return it to the Registrar's Office requesting to drop the course within the time line above. Current Wesley students should make changes on WesleyWeb. Non-attendance does not constitute a cancelation.

Finances

Tuition invoices are due the first day of class. Tuition rates vary by course and type of credit being pursued. The rates are listed below:

For classes beginning before July 1 (Summer Term 1):

• $ 496.00 per credit  for academic credit 
• $ 248.00 per credit for audit

For classes beginning after July 1 (Summer term 2):

• $ 520 per credit for academic credit
• $ 260 per credit for audit
   

Other fees:

• $ 195.00 CEU* for Continuing Education
• $ 40.00 non-refundable fee for first time students only

* CEU stands for Continuing Education Unit. CEU registration is available for ordained clergy, diaconal ministers, or full-time lay professional employees of any denomination.

Housing

Dormitory housing is available on a limited basis at Wesley Theological Seminary.  Summer housing reservations will be available beginning May 1. For questions about housing, please contact the Housing Office.
