Academic Planning and Community Life Orientation Registration

You must be an admitted student to register for Academic Planning. ALL new students are required to attend the Community Life Orientation on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 8:00am until 8:00pm. If you have a serious and significant conflict, you may apply for a waiver and plan to attend the January 2014 Community Life Orientation, tentatively scheduled for January 24, 2014 from 12:00pm-6:30pm. All students MUST attend both Academic Planning and Community Life Orientation in order to continue your enrollment for the next year. However, if you are in the student pastor program, you must attend the Student Pastor Orientation (scheduled for August 22, 2013 from 9:00am until 4:00pm), which will include your Academic Planning session; therefore, student pastors need only register below for Community Life Orientation.

Students can attend whichever Academic Planning session works best for their schedules. Please bear in mind that the Thursday AP Session (August 22, 2013) is typically the most requested.

Meals will be served at both Academic Planning and Community Life Orientation. If you have any allergies or other special dietary needs, the seminary will try to accommodate you. If you would also prefer to bring your own meal or not eat, please also make that statement here.

Housing in our dormitory may be available for no extra charge. One night can be provided for you the night of Academic Planning (or the night prior, in the case of January Academic Planning), and one night can be provided the evening prior to/of Community Life Orientation. If you have applied to be a permanent resident of any of our residence halls for the Fall/Spring semester, please do not request housing unless you are attending the June Academic Planning session, as the Fall/Spring move-in dates include housing during all of the other sessions offered.
