Weekend Course of Study

The Weekend Course of Study program was developed to augment the regular summer program held at Wesley Theological Seminary each July for the purpose of helping part-time Local Pastor complete their required studies. Part-time local pastors are more likely to have conflicts with secular work schedules or family responsibilities during the summer session.

Weekend Course of Study courses will be held on the main campus of Wesley Theological Seminary beginning at 1pm on Friday and ending at 1pm on Saturday. Each course requires attendance of two weekend sessions and course work is to be turned in directly to the professor. We do not use Blackboard during the weekend sessions.

Housing

Housing:

Wesley uses the Chevy Chase Courtyard Marriott located about 2 miles for the seminary for housing during the weekend sessions. Please indicate if you will need housing on the registration form. We will make a reservation for you based on the information we receive on the registration form. You will receive a hotel reservation confirmation number from Wesley about one week prior to the course. Public transportation is available from the hotel via metro and AU shuttle or Metro bus which drops you right in front of the seminary. You will find directions to the hotel here. You will be required to pay for your room directly to the hotel.

Limited housing is also available on campus for the Weekend Course of Study program. Students are responsible for making these arrangements directly with the housing office. To request on campus housing, please complete the Guest Housing form. You may also opt to stay in one of the many area hotels; download a listed of suggested hotels here.

Finances

Registration fee is $75.00 per course
Tuition Rate: $350.00 per course
A Cancellation fee $50 is assessed if courses is cancelled within two weeks of the start of class or for no shows. Cancellations must be received in writing - send to Sara Sheppard.

Arrival/ Fellowship 8:30am - 9:00am Elderdice Hall - coffee and light breakfast provided
